This website displays live weather readings
from the Chilbolton Facility for Atmospheric and Radio Research at Chilbolton
in Hampshire.
The main facility at Chilbolton
is the 25 metre fully steerable antenna. This impressive dish is used
by the 3 GHz Doppler-Polarisation radar and the 1275MHz clear air radar.
94GHz and 35GHz cloud radars are located alongside the main dish. These
radars make a powerful combination for studying cloud, ice and rain
as it passes over Chilbolton. They are supported by a suite of meteorological
instruments, cameras and lidars on the same site.
Please note, that while we make every effort to ensure that
all the data and images on the Chilbolton Weather Web are up to date,
occasional equipment problems will occur. Please check the 'status'
button on each page for updates on the status of data from individual
pieces of equipment. If you have any queries or comments about anything
on this website, please contact Judith Agnew
